The Waterfront
Named a “cool place” by Westchester Magazine,
the revitalized Yonkers Waterfront is well on its way to becoming
the next cutting-edge, cosmopolitan neighborhood. Yonkers boasts
4-1/2 miles of waterfront on the Hudson River with a backdrop of
the Palisades and the New York City skyline on the horizon. The
Waterfront’s 19th and 20th century industrial heritage is
being honored as new communities in which to live, work, and play
are taking shape. Historical buildings are being restored and repurposed.
Step out from your door and choose from a selection of great restaurants
and bistros on Main Street. Feel like shopping for some new dancing
shoes? World-class shopping and a variety of dance classes are nearby.
Additional arts and entertainment venues and residential buildings
are injecting renewed energy into the downtown. |
